This miniature rectangular stand is divided into three panels inserted on the length and one on the width. The stand is made of wood is associated with the mulberry species. In its appearance, this stand most closely ressembles the Sui/Tang/Song box-like constructed platforms with its oval cut-outs. The grain of the wood is quite pretty and adds to the beauty of the piece. It is used for placing curios on a scholar's table.
