This glass plaque with the inscription “ACS Barker Road 2002 Corner Stone Laying Ceremony” was presented to Mr. Lim Kim San.Mr. Lim was the first chairman of the Housing and Development Board (HDB) and was best known for his contributions in building affordable public housing for the population of Singapore. During his public service career, he held ministerial portfolios ranging from finance, education and defence to the environment.
