Kling Street

Located in the the northwest corner of Raffles Place, Kling Street was, for several years, dominated by the ornate Bonham Building, which ran the full length of Bonham Street to Boat Quay. Kling Street is known as Chulia Street today, the name change having taken place in 1922 when the word 'Kling' had been deemed derogatory by the Indian Association of Singapore.
