These children from Seremban are working on what appear to be woven cane, one of the traditional handicrafts of the Minangkabau people. The capital of the state of Negri Sembilan today, Seremban has adopted the cultural practices of the Minangkabau Malays, who first arrived in Negri Sembilan during the 16th century.
