With its distinct roof architecture that resembles buffalo horns, this Malay house was built in the ‘Minangkabau’ style. The ‘Minangkabau’ Malays travelled to Negri Sembilan from Sumatra during the 16th century, retaining the cultural traditions of their matrilineal system.
