Walk with Aroma Nostalgia and Sendok Rakyat around Geylang Serai and take notes on how these scents permeate the space and tie our memories to a specific time and place. Explore scents of ingredients deeply tied to Geylang Serai (coconut, lemongrass), scents of unique fruits and goods found at the market (e.g. salak/snake fruit), and scents that brings out memories of old Geylang Serai, such as wood notes reminiscent of furniture shops at the old market.

Participants will then dive into a hands-on session in recreating and bottling these scents to take home, while discussing their scent memories of Geylang Serai with fellow participants.

Rooted in the living heritage of Geylang Serai, this pilot incubator programme at Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery invites Heritage practitioners to deepen their practice and reach new audiences by drawing on the rich stories and communities that have shaped this neighbourhood for generations.

The first edition, led by Sendok Rakyat, brings together practitioners to spark fresh curiosity and connection with Geylang Serai, creating experiences that resonate beyond the gallery . Each programme is supported by Wisma Geylang Serai and contributes to the broader Geylang Serai Cultural Belt rejuvenation efforts.

1. Please note that 1 ticket to this programme admits 1 person only.

2. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the programme for registration. The programme meeting point will be at Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery.

3. Kindly note that there will be food consumption (food included in the ticket price). All food provided are Halal. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know in the registration form.

4. To allow more participants to enjoy the programme, each customer is allowed to purchase up to 2 tickets. We reserve the right to cancel additional tickets purchased.
