Some of Singapore's most compelling stories are hidden in plain sight - waiting for the right eye to find them. Secret Railways of Clementi is a guided heritage photowalk that invites you to explore one of Singapore's forgotten railway routes while learning the art of photography along the way.

In collaboration with Canon, participants will enjoy a hands-on photography workshop led by experienced facilitators, with the opportunity to use Canon cameras to capture unique perspectives of landmarks such as Sungai Ulu Pandan, the Old Jurong Railway Line Bridge, and the Sunset Way railway track.

Whether you are new to photography or looking to sharpen your skills, this is your chance to discover hidden gems, tell stories through your lens, and experience Clementi like never before.

This Call for Collaboration project is supported by the National Heritage Board as part of the Heritage Activation Nodes in Clementi (HAN@Clementi).

Tickets are priced at $5 per person.

1. Duration & Physical Requirements

The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is entirely on foot. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the programme begins. The programme will begin on time.

2. Family Friendly

This is a family friendly experience. Children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

3. What to Bring

We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and light clothing suitable for the weather. Participants are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and an umbrella, or a raincoat.

4. Disclaimer

The tour will proceed in wet weather. The tour may, however, be cancelled due to severe inclement weather (e.g. hazardous haze conditions, heavy rainfall with lightning and flooding), or other unforeseen circumstances (e.g. road closures) beyond the control of the programme organiser(s). Participants will be informed accordingly.

5. Refund Policy

No refund or exchange of tickets is allowed under any circumstance, except in the event of programme cancellation.

By registering for this programme, participants agree: 

a. that NHB and the programme organiser(s) may take photographs and/or videos of them (or their child as applicable) and use the images and/or videos including to archive, exhibit and publish them for publicity;

b. for NHB and the programme organiser(s) to contact them regarding the programme that they have signed up for, as well as other communication that may be of interest to them; and

c. that the personal information supplied will be strictly used for the purposes stated above.
