Description
Spend a vibrant afternoon at the Katong-Joo Chiat Heritage Carnival to celebrate Katong-Joo Chiat heritage and history with the community! Connect with fellow history buffs, make new friends, and plug in to engaging conversations about the old Katong-Joo Chiat. Do you remember going to the post office in the 1980s? What was it like to grow up in Katong in the 1960s? Have you seen a charcoal iron in use? How much do you know about Katong?
The carnival will be hosting exclusive talks and workshops — slots are limited, so do sign up quickly! In addition, enjoy a lineup of family-friendly activities. There'll be claw machines, bouncy castles, gasing challenge (traditional spinning top game), power washing, a Peranakan board game, and many more! Also, discover the charm of traditional food carriers in an eco-friendly Tingkat Craft Workshop. Enjoy free baked goods, finger food, and drinks from cafes around Katong and Joo Chiat!
