This is a letter to Ho Ah Hong from Chua Sian Chin, Minister for Health, upon Ho’s retirement from government service. The letter is dated 30 August 1969. Ho worked in Singapore as a clerk, timekeeper, hawkers inspector, and public health assistant amongst other roles in his career. He was in government service for 32 years, and received this letter of appreciation upon his retirement in 1969. He was also awarded the Long Service Medal at the 1969 National Day Honours. He was married to Chan Shu May.
