This kimono is made from Khersonese silk, a brand name for a silk woven in Singapore between 1969 and the early 1970s. The name is derived from a classical term for Southeast Asia, the 'Golden Khersonese'. This kimono was a product of the Design Singapura company and would have been available for sale in its to the general public.
