This sculpture by Tang Da Wu, one of Singapore's most important contemporary artists, was made in 1971 when he was still an undergraduate sculpture student in Birmingham Polytechnic. It was inspired by the 1968 student protests in Paris. Here the brick wall has been pushed over and covers the wire, transforming into a beautiful, floating “cloud” that spreads the revolution from country to country.
