These 3 photos are from the series Political Landscapes, made during the Singapore General Elections in 2011. GE11 saw the highest number of seats being contested since 1972 and was also the first time social media had a key presence in not just representing what was happening but mediating the experience of the voters. The latter has been suggested as the cause of a wave of interest from the usually politically apathetic Singaporean voters. In discussing these works, Soh has stated his intention to shift the focus away from the politicians running for the elections to an exploration of these spaces as landscapes, hence the distant and often high vantage point.
