This baby blue boat neck dress and matching jacket belonged to Mrs Elsie Lee Swee Cheng. The jacket was tailored to complement the dress and was from the ‘Eastern Paris’ label, a tailor shop located on Coleman Street, off North Bridge Road.Mrs Elsie Lee was the wife of a prominent stockbroker, Mr Lee Swee Cheng. She was also an active member of the Chinese Women’s Association and served as the organisation’s president in 1961 and 1962.
