This pair of Chinese-language tracts was published by the Barisan Sosialis (Socialis Front) in 1964. It includes an open letter to the various ethnic communities of Singapore, appealing for a pacifist position in opposing war and conscription. This was in light of Konfrontasi and the Federation of Malaysia government’s call for registration and conscription for national service in defence of Malaysia. Accompanying the open letter is a cartoon and song protesting conscription.
