This 45 rpm record was produced by Precious Urn Record (宝鼎唱片). John Yam entered show business after taking part in a singing contest held by private radio station, Rediffusion Singapore. He shot to fame after releasing the hit ‘Broken Heart’ (《破碎的心》), which was the Chinese rendition of a popular English song. He also composed the lyrics himself.
