This large, heavily potted dish has a design of prunus blossum and tree reserved in white on a deep blue background. Branches of blossoming prunus reserved on a field of cracking ice, signifying the end of winter and the beginning of spring, is one of the more popular designs found in Kangxi blue and white wares.
