This is a receipt from Lim Shing Hong Goldsmith & Jeweller. The shop was established by Lim Kim Tian (1879-1944), a prominent business pioneer who earned his fortune from the shipping industry. He was the founder and chairman of Singapore Chinese Lighter Owners’ Association between 1928 to 1941. He also founded Tung Ann Association and was a prominent board member of Jiu Long Tang Ancestral Hall in the 1920s.
