This is an envelope bearing the logo and contact information of Beauty Studio, a commercial wedding photo studio operating at East Coast Road in the 1970s. It was likely used to contain the wedding studio photographs and negatives of Quah Chin Siong, Danny and Soh Beow Seng, Nancy. Quah Chin Siong (1946-2023) is a grandson of the late Quah Chin Lai (柯进来,1892-1990), a prominent Hokkien Chinese metal and machinery hardware tycoon and philanthropist, who had contributed greatly to Chinese tertiary education and the development of Singapore’s manufacturing industry in the 1930s to 50s.
