Playing with dolls is a common childhood experience, especially for girls. From the latter half of the 20th century, dolls began to get more sophisticated and varied, offering children a wide variety of appearances, ages, costumes and accessories for their play. This doll is based on the fairytale character of Sleeping Beauty as portrayed in the Disney movies. It comes with removable accessories like golden shoes, as well as real lip gloss that the doll’s owner can use on themselves.With Disney shows and characters being a ubiquitous part of a Singaporean childhood in the 1990s-2020s, such dolls also show the popularity of related merchandise.
