The inflight magazine of Singapore Airlines (SIA) was first launched in 1976 as Silver Kris. Covering current and future trends in air travel, as well as travel features and destination guides, the magazine also provided information about SIA's products and services, fleet, network, and airports served. An online version of the magazine was launched in 2010 and the magazine, presently stylised as SilverKris, has been fully digital since March 2020. This issue is part of a set donated by Mr Jimmy Chew, who worked as an SIA engineer from the 1960s until his retirement in 1998.The March 1994 issue of Silver Kris, pictured here, commemorates SIA being the "World's No. 1 airline over the last two decades" and, in a departure from most of the magazine's previous covers featuring cultural scenes/motifs from SIA's international destinations, spotlights instead the carrier's cabin crew wearing the iconic "Singapore Girl" kebaya designed by Pierre Balmain for SIA in 1968.
