This is a photo of members and volunteers of the Bukit Merah Old Folks' club at a mid-autumn festival celebration organised by the club. Located at Blk 14 Redhill Close, the club was officially opened in 1979 thanks to the efforts of the Community Service Volunteers (volunteers under the Council of Social Service, which later became the National Council of Social Service in 1992). The club sought to address issues faced by the elderly such as loneliness and medical and financial problems.
