This is a letter addressed to a member of the Singapore Chinese Mechanics Association, notifying him of an annual meeting that was being held for the Welfare and Mutual Aid Section. According to the invitation enclosed in the envelope, the meeting was to be held on 3rd December 1972 at 7.30pm, at the Association's grand hall, located at 88 Club Street. The Singapore Chinese Mechanics Association was established in 1928 and was an organisation for Chinese artisans, mechanics and engineers who were working throughout British Malaya.
