An eight-mile “Big Walk” was organized by Tiong Bahru constituency on Aug 17, 1969, to celebrate Singapore’s 4th National Day and 150th anniversary of Raffles’ landing. The walk was open to the public for a fee of $0.50. This flyer shows the route of the procession through Tiong Bahru.
