Chettiar Summary of Account Balance document

This summary of account balances was a handover document that a Chettiar would prepare for his fellow Chettiar successor. The business changed hands every three years when the incumbent returned to India for a sabbatical. This document would also have been used by a Chettiar agent reporting to his employer in India upon the end of his term.
