Alphaland Travel Services was a Singaporean company that offered trishaw tours from the 1990s to 2000s. Founded by Mr Lionel Chew’s mother in 1978, the company started as a travel agency before it began its trishaw business in 1992. After taking over the company as Managing Director in 2002, Mr Chew purchased second-hand trishaws and refurbished them as he sought to strengthen the company’s fleet of trishaws, which grew to 50 under his management. Alphaland’s trishaws were stationed at Sim Lim Square near the company’s office in Middle Road and ferried mostly tourists along the Little India route that it operated.
