This clipboard is part of a set of clipboards that were used by Lee Kuan Yew during his time as Prime Minister of Singapore, likely in the early 1960s to 1970s. The clipboards used by Lee Kuan Yew likely held his daily notes, drafts, and other papers for action by him or his secretaries. They may also have served as a backing to read, amend and sign documents, and may have been placed inside his red box for shuttling documents to and from his office when necessary. This clipboard has the name of his wife, Kwa Geok Choo, written on it. Thus it was most likely used by Mdm Kwa to review and amend Mr Lee’s outstanding drafts and other documents. On occasion, Mdm Kwa reviewed Mr Lee’s documents in the evening when he was exercising, resting or attending to other matters.
