This seal album was published by the Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal-carving, Calligraphy and Painting Society after the circuit-breaker. The Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal-carving, Calligraphy and Painting Society aims to promote the study of these three forms of Chinese art, with an emphasis on seal carving. During the circuit breaker, the society was unable to meet physically and would share their thoughts and artworks over whatsapp instead. Despite the distance, they were inspired by the work they shared and often carved seals in response to each other. Many emotions and events relating to Covid made its way into their seals, ranging from frustration to boredom to hope. Following the circuit-breaker, the society compiled scans of the seals and printed them in the style of a traditional seal album.
