This clipboard was purchased in the 1980s and was used until Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s last days in the office. This clipboard typically went into Mr Lee’s red box for shuttling documents between his home and the office. It held his daily notes, drafts, and all other papers for action by him or his secretaries. The clipboard also served as a backing for Mr Lee to read, amend and sign documents before the writing board was installed in the mid-1990s, and also on occasions when Mr Lee was not at his desk or during his travels overseas. Mrs Lee also occasionally used the clipboard to review and amend Mr Lee's outstanding drafts.
