This is a collection of the poetry of the Scottish Orientialist John Leyden, with a memoir of his life written by his cousin, the Revd. James Morton. Thomas Stamford Raffles met Morton in 1817 and provided him with information for this book. Among the poems are two written by Leyden to Raffles’ first wife Olivia.
