This ribbon bar belonged to Staff Sergeant Leslie Cody, a member of the 2/4th Machine Gun Battalion, 2nd Australian Imperial Force. From left to right, it contains the ribbons of three medals: the 1939-1945 Star, awarded for service for at least six months during WWII; the Pacific Star, awarded for operational service in the Pacific; and the Defence Medal, awarded for service in an area subject to enemy attack.
