This faded drawstring 'lap-lap', which used to be blue, was worn by a Prisoner-of-War (POW) during his captivity in Changi Prison. Lap-laps resembled loincloths and were used in place of their clothes which were very quickly worn out by the rough conditions of imprisonment.
