Town Hall from the EsplanadeThis view is taken from the Esplande or Padang. The newly completed Town Hall is seen on the right, with a glimpse of the Dalhousie Obelisk on its left, both structures partially obscured by the trees. This photograph has been attributed to John Thomson, the Scottish photographer who set up a studio in Singapore between 1863 and 1865.
