Group of seven photographs by and attributed to John Thomson

The EsplanadeThis view is taken from the Esplanade or Padang. To the left of St. Andrew's Church are the bungalows designed by G. D. Coleman, occupied at that time by the Hotel de l'Europe and the Masonic Lodge. This photograph has been attributed to John Thomson, the Scottish photographer who set up a studio in Singapore between 1863 and 1865.
