This suitcase belonged to Lim Teck Kim (d. 1938), managing director of the general store Lim Hoe Chiang Ltd and proprietor of Happy Valley Amusement Park, which opened in 1924 at the corner of Tanjong Pagar Road and Cantonment Road. The labels on this suitcase demonstrate Lim's many travel destinations in Asia and Europe.
