A watercolour painting depicting Hock Lam Street scene in the late 1970s with Central Fire Station in the background. Harry Chin Chun Wah (b. 1941) was a founding member of the Singapore Watercolour Society in 1969. A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1967, Chin was known for his sketches in pen, marker, and wash in the late 1960s and 1970s before leaving the art scene to focus on a career in advertising. He returned to painting after his retirement in 1999.
