This photograph shows Ong Tiang Wee (T W Ong) posing seated before a painting. The son of Ong Boon Tat, a prominent Peranakan businessman and owner of New World Park, T W Ong was a barrister and partner of the law firm, Laycock and Ong at Malacca Street (1941-1986); Member of Singapore Municipal Commission (1934-1948); President of Anglo-Chinese School Old Boys' Association (1946-1947); President of Straits Chinese British Association and The Peranakan Association, Singapore (1948-1992); and Member of Board of Directors of Overseas Assurance Corporation Limited or OAC (1937-1996).
