This postcard features the Boeing 707 “Superjet” aircraft with Singapore Airlines livery. Singapore Airlines was inaugurated in 1972 after the separation of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) into two separate entities in 1972: Malaysian Airline System (MAS) and Singapore Airlines (SIA). SIA retained all 10 of MSA’s Boeing 707 and 737 aircraft and built on its international route network inherited from MSA.
