The govt organized the first national family planning campaign in 1960 to promote awareness and alert people on the disadvantages of having large families. This bilingual booklet (Chinese-English) features a woman and her three children. The title is telling in that a smaller family could enjoy food and education for all. This is very similar to the posters which said ”Small families, Bright Future” “ The More you Have the less they get, two is enough”
