The personal story behind this work, like in Gosh, we are fucked, revolves around a holiday surfing trip to Phuket during the monsoon season. The repetition of the wave motif, even more evident and chaotic in this piece, obscures the image beneath it, and therefore suggests of an even greater nightmarish as the artist has recurring dreams revolving around the same event. The surrealist imagery and title of the work point out the bizarre amalgamation of fact and fantasy that constitute dreams.
