This is a montage of scenes related to the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Connaught to Singapore in 1890. Connaught Drive, a new road at the Esplanade along the reclaimed sea front was named in honour of their visit, with the Duke and Duchess being the first users of the road upon their arrival in Singapore on 25 March 1890.
