Johnny Manahan’s Choose (1982) is probably the earliest surviving video artwork from the Philippines and the last artwork made Manahan made before completely devoting himself to his work in television. The video is historically and culturally significant for Philippine art and is probably among the earliest video works in Southeast Asia. The video is a self-reflexive commentary on the medium of video and television.
