Tombstone of See Tiong Wah

This is the tombstone of See Tiong Wah, who was buried together with his wife. The rectangular altar allows for the placement of offerings to the deceased. The tombstone and altar are richly decorated with detailed carvings of Chinese deities and figures, along with a pair of guardian lions. See Tiong Wah was active in banking and insurance. In addition, he served in various leadership roles such as Municipal Commissioner. He was part of the committee that established Bukit Brown Cemetery in 1922.
