Koh and Co.’s Post Card Exchange Register

This magazine was published by Koh and Company (est. 1905). It was first printed in 1907 and contained notices from collectors interested in trading post cards and stamps. It also carried news items and entertaining stories. It was published monthly in English. Koh Hoon Teck, the founder, was deeply involved in the performing arts. On top of being a member of the Cornwall Minstrels, which performed English comic songs for events, he was also an avid lover of pantun (a Malay poetic form) and dondang sayang,(an exchange of songs). In addition, he founded the Gunong Sayang Association, one of the earliest Peranakan theatre associations.
