Lee-Enfield rifle with bayonet used by the British Indian Army

This Mark III .303 Lee-Enfield rifle with bayonet were standard issue to the British Indian Army troops in World War II, during which the Indian Army helped the British defend Singapore against the Japanese. The rifle was of Indian manufacture and issued, while the blade of the bayonet bears the emblem of the Gurkhsky 9th Infantry Regiment (the Lion Capital of Ashoka), one of the Indian Army units that had fought in Singapore during WWII.
