Altar Cloth with Phoenix and the Three Star Deities

The figures of the Three Star deities, of happiness, status and longevity, are embroidered on this altar cloth, against a background of gold thread. The faces, including that of the two attendant figures seem to have been painted on paper and attached to the fabric. The top panel features a pair of phoenix flanking a lotus bloom. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
