This is a 1992 programme for a charity performance of Emily of Emerald Hill by Aileen Lau in honour of AWARE (Association of Women for Action and Research). Aileen Lau was a teacher an amateur actress. Her performances of the play were always for charity. Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
