This propaganda poster, published in Portuguese, illustrates the defeat and occupation of Singapore by the Japanese. The four images featured on the front of the poster are reproductions of watercolour works depicting the view of the city from the sea, the advance of Japanese infantry and tanks through the jungle in the direction of the city, the bombardment of the harbour by Japanese planes, and the entry of Japanese troops into the heart of Singapore. They convey using strong visuals and text the invasion of Singapore, and mocks the British failure to defend Singapore from the Japanese.
