This book is the ‘Unaddressed Letters’ of Sir Frank Athelstane Swettenham. Swettenham was a British colonial officer who arrived in Saingapore in 1971 as a cadet in the Straits Settlements civil service. He later served as resident to the Malay state of Selangor, and as the first resident-general of the Federated Malay States. He ended his career as the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Straits Settlements.
