This album contains several views of Singapore in 1916, including photographs related to the Sepoy Mutiny which took place the year before. Particularly, there is a view of the Garrison Hospital at Tanglin where mutineers fired at patients, as well as photos of the Russian officers and Japanese sailors who helped to quell the mutiny. There are also photos of the funeral of the grave of Capt. P. Boyce, one of the British officers of the 5th Light Infantry who was shot and bayoneted during the mutiny.
