Adult Education Board Report Book

The Adult Education Board (AEB) was established in 1960. The board promoted and oversaw the provision of vocational classes for adults. It later combined with the Industrial Training Board to form the Vocational and Industrial Training Board, the predecessor of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). The AEB organised Vocational Preparatory Classes for 14 year-olds who failed their Primary School Leaving Examination for the second time. The classes helped to prepare students for future vocational training in industrial and some commercial sectors. This report book belonged to a student who enrolled at Kim Keat Vocational Centre in 1973.
